Traveling the world and immersing myself in new places, cultures, and unforgettable adventures has always been my lifelong dream. In 2023, I took the leap into travel writing and content creation, inspired by a life-changing honeymoon trip to Bali that marked the beginning of a new chapter in my life.
I married an incredible man who shares my passion for travel and adventure. Together, with my adorable son, we’ve made it our mission to embrace life to the fullest, explore the globe, and create lasting memories along the way.
To spark your wanderlust, here’s our top 10 international destination wishlist—places that are sure to inspire your next holiday adventure.

Turkey
The mystical allure of Turkey is enchanting, and I am intrigued by the old architectural history and the vast cultural differences between the West and the East.
Turkey’s mystical allure has always fascinated me, from its rich architectural history to the striking cultural contrasts between the East and West. The country offers a unique blend of experiences, from relaxing in traditional baths to enjoying its beautiful beaches, all while embracing its distinctive cultural heritage.
One of the most remarkable aspects of Turkey is the opportunity to experience two continents in one country, each offering its own unique vibe and perspective. This fusion of cultures is something truly special.
I originally planned to visit Turkey for my 30th birthday, but life had other plans. Now, with my 40th just around the corner, I’m finally making it happen! We’re looking forward to exploring the vibrant city of Istanbul, the surreal landscapes of Cappadocia, and enjoying some fun in the sun at an Antalya waterpark resort. It’s going to be an unforgettable journey!
Greece
The stunning white and blue scenery of Santorini feels like something straight out of a dream. When I first met my husband and we began sharing our travel dreams, Santorini was at the top of his wish list. The charming cobblestone pathways and winding streets are so inviting, and I adore the idea of colorful sidewalk cafes nestled against the iconic whitewashed buildings.
From breathtaking sunsets to delicious seafood, Santorini greets you with warmth and beauty at every turn. The romance that fills the air makes it the perfect destination for a getaway—though, for this one, I’d definitely leave the kids at home!
We haven’t set a date for this trip yet, but it’s definitely on our radar. It’ll be the perfect escape for my husband and I when we need a little break from the non-stop energy of my babbling son.

Dubai
My husband and I both went to Dubai prior to us meeting but my son who is now 8 is eager to go to visit. He loves the idea of theme and water parks and it will definitely be a playground for him. Dubai is a concrete jungle for me and not really a fan of exploring shopping malls but nonetheless, we will do a layover trip just for him.
From the desserts to the deserts Dubai will wow you with extravagance and excessiveness, It is definitely a must-see at least once.
My son is at a good age now to travel with even though he is too lazy to walk but his curiosity is peaking and there are no better life lessons than when travelling.
Saudi Arabia
As people of faith, visiting the holy city of Mecca at least once in our lifetime is something deeply etched in our hearts. Mecca is home to the Kaaba, the focal point for the pilgrimages of Hajj and Umrah, and is a sacred destination for Muslims around the world.
Recently, Saudi Arabia has begun opening its doors to tourists, regardless of their religious background. While access to Mecca is reserved exclusively for pilgrims, the other cities in Saudi Arabia are rich in cultural history and are now accessible to non-Muslim travelers, offering a chance to explore the country’s fascinating heritage.
As a family, we’ve discussed this journey, even though my husband has already had the privilege of visiting Mecca twice. We’ve agreed that whenever the time comes—whether it’s for Hajj or Umrah—we will embrace our spiritual journey when we receive our calling.

United Kingdom
I’ve been obsessed with visiting London since I was young, and my fascination grew even more after reading Dan Brown’s *The Da Vinci Code*. The city’s rich history makes me want to explore every corner, eager to uncover the stories behind each building and landmark.
From iconic sights and world-renowned attractions to centuries-old traditions and history around every turn, London is a city that never fails to leave a lasting impression.
I’m determined to make this trip happen sooner rather than later. I can already picture myself dragging my husband and son to every museum, every historical site, and probably boring them to the point where they’ll be off watching football while I continue to explore on my own!
Italy
When I asked my husband why Italy was on his wishlist, his answer was simply, “It’s Italy.” As much as I gave him a look that said, “Could you be more vague?”, I couldn’t agree more. I spent three unforgettable months in Italy, and words can’t fully capture the cultural, historical, and deeply personal experiences I had there.
From the fashion and food to the warmth of the people and the stunning landscapes, Italy will leave you with a sense of awe and wonder, making you see the world through rose-tinted glasses.
I’d love to return to Italy, not only to reconnect with old friends but also to relive the memories I created there, and share them with my husband and my son. While I’ve explored much of the country, I’ve yet to visit the south of Italy, and I think adding that to our itinerary would be the perfect way to complete our journey.

Thailand
I imagine Thailand to be much like Bali, with its stunning beaches, vibrant nightlife, and rich historical landmarks. Having already visited Bali and thoroughly enjoyed the mix of culture and adventure, I’m excited to see what Thailand has to offer.
From serene Buddha statues to breathtaking beaches, Thailand promises a world-class tropical getaway that caters to every style, age, budget, and interest—there truly is something for everyone.
My husband visited Phuket on his first honeymoon and still cherishes the wonderful memories from that trip. We’re excited to return, this time to create our own unforgettable memories together.
America
I never imagined that America would make it onto my travel wishlist, but ever since my son became obsessed with everything American—thanks to YouTube Kids—I’ve found myself just as excited to explore the country. From its food to its famous landmarks, America has captured his imagination.
From bustling cities to stunning canyons, America is vast and packed with landmarks, history, theme parks, and so much more. My son is especially eager to visit places like the Atlanta Aquarium, Disney World, NASA, and the Tesla Building.
I’m also thinking about suggesting a Route 66 road trip, which would be an amazing way to explore a wide range of American culture along the way. Plus, I’d get to relive my *Gossip Girl* era and dress up like I’m strolling through the Upper East Side!

Tanzania
We’ve already had the pleasure of visiting the island of Zanzibar, which is part of Tanzania, and now we’re excited to explore the Serengeti, one of Tanzania’s most famous protected areas. My husband, a true nature enthusiast, has opened my eyes to the incredible beauty of the wild.
From the awe-inspiring migration to the breathtaking landscapes, the Serengeti’s captivating ecosystem will deepen your appreciation for nature.
Our plan is to embark on an unforgettable group trip, driving through various countries in Southern Africa, with our ultimate destination being the Serengeti National Park. It’s going to be an adventure of a lifetime!
India
Our family is of Indian descent and we are now fourth-generation South African, but our Indian roots remain deeply embedded in our culture and daily life. My parents took a month-long trip to India, traveling from the North to the South, and hearing their stories has sparked a deep sense of nostalgia in me. I’m eager to experience our heritage firsthand.
From the iconic Taj Mahal to the rich history and vibrant traditions, India is a land of color, celebration, and endless surprises around every corner. The mix of ancient traditions and modern developments makes it a truly fascinating destination.
Although we haven’t set a specific timeline for the trip yet, we want to make sure we have plenty of time to explore. I’d love to experience both the peaceful villages and the bustling, modern cities to truly get the best of both worlds.

A big shoutout to you, the reader, for making it this far! Thank you so much for joining me on this journey through my travel wishlist. I hope I’ve sparked some inspiration and motivation for you to explore these amazing countries and create your own unforgettable adventures.
